About Us

The Patent Drawing Company Built Around One Standard — Full Compliance, Every Time

PatentVisuals is a dedicated patent drawing company. We don’t do general graphic design, product renders, or marketing illustration — we draft utility patent drawings, design patent drawings, and EPO-compliant colour drawings, and nothing else. This page explains who we are, how we work, and the standards every drawing is held to.

Who We Are

A Specialist Patent Drawing Company, Not a General Design Studio

PatentVisuals was founded to solve a problem patent attorneys and inventors run into constantly: drawings that look acceptable but don’t meet the formal requirements a patent office actually enforces. A missing lead line, an inconsistent reference numeral, an out-of-spec margin — small errors that cause real delay. We built PatentVisuals specifically to close that gap.

Our draftsmen work only on patent illustration. Every drawing is produced by reading the invention’s specification and claims directly, so reference numerals, view arrangement, and figure numbering match what’s written, not just what looks reasonable. We track formatting requirements across the offices our clients file with most — including the USPTO (37 CFR 1.84), the EPO, and the PCT system — and we update our internal standards whenever those requirements change, as we did following the EPO’s move to accept colour and greyscale drawings for electronically filed applications.

We serve patent law firms, in-house corporate IP teams, solo and boutique patent practices, and individual inventors — anyone who needs a drawing that will be accepted by an examiner on the first submission, at a price that doesn’t erode the economics of filing.

Our Mission

Every Application Deserves Drawings That Don't Get in Its Way

A strong invention shouldn’t stall in prosecution because of a formatting objection. Our mission is simple: produce patent drawings that are correct the first time, priced so that quality drawing support is never the reason a filing gets rushed or skipped, and backed by revisions that continue until the attorney or inventor filing the application is genuinely satisfied — not just until a deliverable is marked complete.

How We Work

The Standards Behind Every Drawing

Three principles guide every project we take on, regardless of size or filing type.

Principle 01

Drawn From the Specification

We work directly from your specification and claims, not just a reference sketch, so reference numerals and views are consistent with what's written and what the examiner will compare them against.

Principle 02

Current With Every Patent Office

Formatting rules differ across the USPTO, EPO, and PCT system, and they change — as they did with the EPO's October 2025 colour drawing decision. We track those changes so your drawings are never drafted to an outdated standard.

Principle 03

Revised Until Approved

A drawing isn't finished when it's delivered — it's finished when you're satisfied it's ready to file. Revisions continue at no extra charge until that's true.

Trust & Credentials

What We Stand Behind

Compliance-First Process

Every drawing is checked against current USPTO, EPO, and PCT formatting rules before delivery.

Transparent, Fixed Pricing

No hidden fees, no per-revision charges, no surprise costs after your quote is approved.

Unlimited Revisions

Revisions continue until you're satisfied — not until a delivery counter is marked complete.

Specialist Focus

Patent drawings are our only line of work — not a sideline to general graphic design.
